The Root Seekers Genealogical Society is organized as a nonprofit, educational organization, managed by a Board of Directors. Its purpose is to further the development of genealogical research and to act as a training agency for people interested in genealogical research, to acquire a collection of genealogical and historical material, and to make the information available to others doing genealogical research.
Our web site is designed with two goals in mind:
-
To provide information free to all researchers; however, we would appreciate users crediting the Root Seekers Genealogical Society as the source. (Approximately 90% of the information provided here is open to all. The exceptions are the membership list, the society budget, the meeting minutes and the Quarterly Newsletters which have interest only to members or are closed due to privacy. These are open to Members Only.)
-
Research is provided by the members as an outgrowth of their personal study with few links to other sources.
